Our Companies

Our Dance Companies compete regionally throughout the spring at the large national dance competitions such as Star Systems, American Dance Awards, Starpower, Company Dance, Starlight, International Dance Challenge, and Dance Alliance. Our pre-professional CATS & TAP CATS have appeared nationally throughout the country including: MGM Studios, Walt Disney World, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Branson, Palm Springs, Dallas, Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach, and San Diego. We have won countless National Honors and have been seen on ESPN TV winning Paula Abdul's dance contest at Company Dance Finals.

C.A.T.S.Pre-Professional Jazz Company
Under the direction of Mickey DeFranco, the C.A.T.S. Dancers are Center Stage's teen company in residence. Members study from four to five days per week and are dedicated to excellence in the classical and contemporary dance arts.

TAP C.A.T.S.
Under the direction of our artistic director, George Warren, TAP CATS are Center Stage's tap company in residence. The company is dedicated to excellence in Tap and keeping the spirit of Tap Dance alive and well in New Jersey.

JAZZ C.A.T.S.
Under the direction of Jason Warley, the Jazz CATS are Center Stage's company dedicated to the study of contemporary jazz. Members study jazz three days a week, as well as Lyrical, Hip-Hop, and Ballet.

DAWGZ Boys Company
Under the direction of Mickey DeFranco, DAWGZ is an advanced boys jazz/funk company. The boys study a minimum of three days a week with a concentration on funk /street style jazz incorporated with jazz technique.

JUNIOR C.A.T.S.
Under the direction of our artistic director, George Warren, Junior CATS are Center Stage's finest young dancers age 11 - 14 committed to excellence in classical and contemporary dance. Our Jr. Company is the most serious training ground for the demands of the CATS dancers.

CHAMBER BALLET
Under the direction of Lainie DeFranco, Chamber Ballet are Center Stage's finest ballet dancers. The company is dedicated to excellence in classical ballet.

DEVELOPMENTAL COMPANIES
Center Stage offers many company opportunities for those students who love to dance, want to be part of a dance group, but who cannot commit to the rigors of our pre-professional programs. Developmental companies are available in Jazz, Tap, and Ballet.
