Studio Policies

At our studio, our primary goal is for your children to have fun while learning technique and a strong work ethic. We expect all students to show respect to themselves, all other students, teachers, staff and the studio. This will create a positive environment conducive to learning. Non-compliance with this requirement is disruptive to the class and may result in removal from class for that day. You will see our staff enforcing the following rules:

  • Tuition Policies:

Tuition is pro-rated and is based on a guaranteed number of classes. This means you will pay the same amount every month whether there are 2 lessons or 5 lessons in the month. Tuition is broken into 10 payment installments which will be paid monthly. At the time of registration, your first and last installment will be due with the membership fee. Every installment after will be due by the 1st of the month. Yearly Membership Fee and tuition installments are nonrefundable and non-transferable. There is a $15 late fee added for monthly payments that remain unpaid by the 15th of the month. Returned checks will result in a $25 handling fee.

  • Cancellation Policy:

If you wish to stop classes, you must inform us in writing (via email) before the first of the month in order to end classes by the end of that month. In other words, if you want to end classes at the end of November, and you let us know before November 1, you will receive no additional charges, and your last month's tuition that you paid at registration will be used to pay November's tuition. If you inform us (in writing) that you wish to cancel after the November payment has gone through, then your last month's tuition will be used to pay December tuition and your registration will continue until the end of December.

  • Class Policies:

Proper dress code is required for all classes. Students not in dress code or without the proper dance shoes may be asked to sit out.

Hair must be pulled up and secured back.

Frequent class absences hinder student progress and can impede class progress as a whole. Students should have regular attendance in their classes.

Please be on time to class. Late arrival is not only disruptive to the class but can result in a dancer missing out on important parts of class. Arrivals over 15 minutes late will not be permitted to enter class.

Please keep all personal items in your dance bag. We ask that dance shoes be labeled with the student’s name.

Dance shoes should be worn inside only. Failure to do so can result in damage to the shoes and our dance floors.

We believe that good dance etiquette is of equal importance to good dance technique.

  • Attendance Policy:

Guardians are responsible for communicating absences to the dance studio.

No credit/refunds will be given for missed classes. Class tuition holds a student’s spot in class, classes may not be frozen.

Excessive absences could result in removal from recital/show piece.

Recital rehearsals are mandatory for recital participation.
